Book of Negroes premieres in South Africa

The new miniseries, The Book of Negroes, based on a book of the same name, is available on the dsTV channel BET 129 from 17 August. The miniseries follows the slave trade in America and Africa, looking at different characters, including an 11-year-old girl.


The show was shot in Canada and Cape Town and features Armand Aucamp (recently seen in Ballade vir ‘n Enkeling) and Francis Chouler (recently seen in Born in the RSA). The series premiered on Monday at 20h10 and will continue in this time slot. If you missed the first episode, tune in to BET Channel 129 to watch the season premiere repeat at 21h20 on 23 August.
