Review: Hedwig and the Angry Inch

Last night I had the pleasure of attending the latest and newest theatre hotspot in Cape Town, GATE69, located at 87 Bree Street, the new home of the charismatic Cathy Specific, to watch the magnetic Paul du Toit and Genna Galloway in Hedwig and the Angry Inch. The multi Tony Award winning rock musical tells the story of the internationally ignored rock singer, Hedwig, and her search for stardom and love.

Before show we were treated to a delectable mezze platter of breads, olives, cheese and meat delights which are served at your table. The attentive “Air Hostesses” were on hand to make sure all your needs were met.  The venue is at present unlicensed so you are encouraged to bring your own bubbly, wine or both!
